Overcoming Letter Reversal
After 10 months on the Little Giant Steps program, this week all the letters my 10 year-old daughter had continually and consistently written REVERSED since kindergarten have flipped and now fluently come out on paper facing the right way. She doesn’t even pause to ponder which way the letter “p” faces.
I thank God and rejoice that her learning problems are falling by the way side as her brain changes and new neural pathways are built. This learning challenge seems to have vanished! I thought it would remain a challenge and she would always pause to ponder which way her letters and numbers go. This is truly the difference in The ND Approach vs learning to compensate!
Our diligence and hard work on program is paying off. I am celebrating and wanted to share. We had a Little Giant Step today! C. K. in Perry, Georgia
Post Your Dyslexia Question!
Little Giant Steps (LGS) has been changing the lives of individuals with dyslexia for almost 20 years! When you work with the root cause of this symptomatic learning disability, the symptoms can be eliminated. The LGS Neuro-Educational Program actually changes the brain. When the connections are developed as they were intended to be, the through-put of all the impulses find newly-formed efficient pathways that result in improved learning abilities. See this research. Without the symptoms, there is no dyslexia! Ask your question, now!
How Can You Overcome Dyslexia?
It’s been amazing how we see children and adults who have been on the LGS Neuro-Educational Program move beyond the symptoms that have confounded them since they were little. We know when such symptoms are addressed at the root cause (in the brain) with specific brain based techniques, these symptoms can become a thing of the past and not ones destiny. As one of our 10 year old client told his father as he was completing our program, “Dad, you know I don’t have dyslexia anymore.” The fact was he was reading at 10th grade level and the rest of his subject grade levels were advanced, as well. See a very important video: John’s Story
When you continue to do the same old things, you get the same old results. In the case of utilizing a revolutionary program that works with the neuroplasticity of the brain, the structure changes and so does the function. Our advise is to first investigate, then educate yourself on how it is possible for you to see a change that will last a lifetime!
A Great Report On Academic Success
She has done phenomenally well at school. I was going to email you all- she made a 94 on her Algebra end of course exam. Which sounds even better when you realize that her math teacher said it was harder than the TAKS and that it was brand new. They had not been able to prepare for it like the TAKS (it is the test that will replace the TAKS in a few years). She made the highest grade out of all 9th graders at her school (which is about 45-50 kids). She also got commended on her TAKS English and will finish with close to an A average in all subjects, I think. So LGS worked for us!
Dyslexia ~ My Son’s Experience
My son’s first symptoms that something was amiss began to show up at age three. He was a smart little guy, but was definitely having problems with eye/hand coordination. He seemed ambi-dexterous. His pre-school teacher said he was a puzzling child because he would color things on the left side with his left hand, then at mid-line he’d switch to his right hand. His hands were easily fatigued. He’d know things one day then seems to get so frustrated that he couldn’t recall them the next. It was like he couldn’t find the information he knew he had… somewhere. As we watched for his dominance to emerge, his reading skills to develop, his continual reversal of letters continue on up into third grade, we had him tested. Yep, he was dyslexic! So…. ok… now what? It was amazing that there was no real intervention for him because even though he was struggling, having anxiety attacks about constant errors, unable to read, doing his math problems correctly in his head, because if he tried to write the process of getting the answer down, they would be wrong; his grades were above average. He was one of those kids who “fell through the cracks.” I watched him emotionally begin to deteriorate. He was sad, frustrated and loosing his self-esteem. He felt like a failure, because regardless how he tried he could never really get things quite right. He created a whole “internal translating” system for spelling, reading and writing, because the real world of words and letters was not the world he saw. He developed an accommodating coping and compensating strategy, but the toll it took on him personally, physically, and emotionally grew as he did. By age 10 he thought the struggle was just too hard and as his curriculum got more complex; he came home one day from school wanting to die. Thank the Lord we found a neuro-developmental program that worked with his very poorly organized brain. It addressed his dominance both with brain-based stimuli to change his functional abilities, plus physical activities that created new neuro-pathways that began to show as newly gained function in areas that he’d always been lacking. The transformation in his abilities were nothing short of miraculous! When he finished his program, he no longer had Dyslexia! His eye/hand coordination problems, his ability to retain information was stable. He literally took off like a rocket both academically and physically! It was amazing. I tell this true story about his journey to be an encouragement for those who need to know there is a solution. Question & Answer
Q. Since our child was about 18 months we’ve known there was something different about him. He’s very intelligent, has an extremely well developed language ability, but it’s like he gets either focused on something to the extreme or he’s off in la-la- land day dreaming. He seems to get some things in school, but other things he just cannot remember. How could your neuro-educational program help him?
Ans: Our program works with the neuroplasticity feature of the brain. Our whole objective is to assist in creating, completing or repairing the neuro-connections that allow the brain and body to communicate efficiently and effectively. What you are describing are symptoms which are not a new phenomenon to us. Many of our clients are gifted, but have quirks that seem to prevent them from learning, organizing their thoughts or even engaging socially. Some come to us with labels such as ADD, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, PDD and some come because their parents recognized symptoms that seem to hamper their children from having normal experiences in the world in which they live. What our program does is to eliminate those symptoms at the root cause in the brain. We provide individualized and appropriate activities that will cause the brain to create a change through brain-based stimuli. If a child missed essential developmental steps during the course of their early years, what we do will help to organize the lower levels of the brain, close those learning “gaps” and allow for better input and output of information. Once a child becomes neurologically efficient, they can truly develop their true God-given potential. We just help to create or complete the circuitry in the brain that was not developed as needed to be successful academically, physically and sometimes socially. Please read the articles on our website for more information about our methodology, philosophy and successes.
Brain-Based Tools 4 Improvement In Academics
I was originally going to make my own digit span cards, and it never got done. So, I bought some (Digit Span Cards) from Little Giant Steps.
I bought some digit span cards. I love them. It is so much easier to get things done when everything is right there and done for you. (Editors note: We suggest you order a Free Test Kit to establish the current functional level of your child’s auditory and visual processing abilities. All directions are included with our products)
I bought the whisper phone- love it. My son is now saying Vincent instead of Sincent. I have also been using it with my other kids. My 8 ds had a hard time saving virgins (a bible quiz answer). Immediately he could say it correctly. Also, my almost 3 dd has been using it.I bought some pencil grips -great!! Especially for my artistic ten year old. I also bought Sequencing in a Flash and a cd.

The service was very quick. I received my order in just a few days. (Thanks Jan)
P.S. Don’t forget there are a world of free information offered on their website, too!
